| Botaneco Announces Launch of Second Generation Oleosome Product
Botaneco, a wholly owned subsidiary of SemBioSys Genetics Inc.
(TSX: SBS), focused on the development and commercialization of
oleosome technology in personal care, OTC and topical pharmaceutical
markets, today announced the launch of its second generation
oleosome product, Hydresia(TM ) G2, at the In-Cosmetics 2008
exposition in Amsterdam. Hydresia(TM) G2, a natural emulsion base,
retains all of the functional performance properties of Botaneco's
first generation Hydresia(TM) product, while offering formulators
the ability to develop products over a broader pH range (3.5- 8.5).
This will allow for the development of low pH exfoliants and anti-
aging products that can provide consumers with the moisturization,
skin health and aesthetic benefits that Hydresia(TM) brings to other
finished formulations.
New Antioxidant-Rich Skin Care Products Feed the Skin to Reverse Premature Aging
The new Alexis MD Pure Beauty skin care line consists of all natural, antioxidant-rich, non-toxic products that nourish skin from a multi-dimensional perspective, reversing premature aging at the cellular level. More than just cosmetics, they are designed to treat and heal skin damage caused by 21st century lives of less than ideal nutrition, radiation exposure from the sun, and inescapable pollutants. The products were developed by Alexis Parker, MD, owner of Lasair Aesthetic Health, a center for skin rejuvenation in Denver. .
Isolagen sells Swiss site to Swatch
Isolagen Inc. said Monday that it sold its site in Switzerland for $6.4 million. A spokesman for the Exton, Pa., based skin-care products company (AMEX:ILE) said the site is an empty warehouse that was part of the company's discontinued operations. The buyer was Switzerland-based watch manufacturer the Swatch Group, the spokesman said. Chairman Nicholas L. Teti Jr. said the proceeds "will enable us to further pursue the implementation of our business plan for 2008." Isolagen sells anti-aging and acne treatment products and is developing treatments for acne scars and wrinkles that would involve tissue rejuvenation. .
